Alex started dancing at the age of six while pursuing his other talent in acting. After a prolonged absence from dance, Alex began taking advanced dance classes at the age of sixteen. He loved and missed it so much, he decided to start teaching dance himself at the age of eighteen.
Since then Alex has taught at Meriden Connecticut Boys & Girls Club, CT, Meriden Connecticut YMCA, CT, New York City Extreme, NYC, Washington and Lincoln Middle School, CT, Music4Life, Virginia Beach, VA, Only Imagine, Goose Creek, SC, United We Dance, Summerville, SC, Dance Anatomy, Mt. Pleasant, SC, Dance FX, Charleston, SC.
Alex has also performed and choreographed in Meriden Connecticut Face Off 1, 2 & 3 placing 1st, 1st and 2nd, Waterbury, CT Cancer Society for Children, Kensington Village Senior Day, Showstopper, Myrtle Beach placing 1st and 2nd overall, Just Dance, Charleston Coliseum placing 3rd overall.
Alex continues to dance and teach others because he loves to see people learn. He dreams to excel at what he does whether in dance or acting. He inherited the dancing name of Smilez when he was eighteen because he always smiles when he dances. Alex also enjoys watching movies. His favorite quote: "Walk by faith and not by sight."
